What is RSR deflection?

RSR’ pattern or RSR’ deflection is a pattern seen on the ECG in right bundle branch block, a conduction defect in the bundle branch taking electrical signals to the right ventricle. It can be seen in conditions like atrial septal defect, a defect in the wall between upper chambers of the heart, known in short as ASD. Sometimes it can be seen as a complication of a heart attack and clots in the lungs known as pulmonary embolism. It can also occur as a normal variant in those without any significant heart disease. Right bundle branch block is known in short as RBBB.
