Walking has been a large part of my recovery from cancer. So far, I have been walking 15 days in a row! Can't do a whole lot, but day by day, it is getting better. Good advice on the pedometer. Nothing like getting that good walk to boost the immune system!

My wife gave me a pedometer for christmas and we are out there walking for an hr per day. I enjoy it more when she lets me take my camera. I can do anything when I have it because I dont think about doing it. Cheers.

Good point made.

I prefer to exercise at home for free, with my choice of music, and without fighting over dumb bells.

Another way of tracking your exercise:

I use my mobile phone to listen to music when running. It's a nokia and has software that you can use to track your movement via satellite. A great bit of kit in my opinion.

I couldn't agree more, walking is the easiest way to keep the blood moving and bringing more energy into your system. I try to get about 10 to 15 minutes in at lunch several times a week and of course more time during the weekend. I like to use a heart rate monitor, I'm over 50 and not so concerned with burning calories as having a comfortable workout.
